Program highlights

Our Retrofit program is aligned to Level 2/3 qualifications and has been developed in partnership with a number of education and industry organisations. 

It provides the learner with the knowledge about the processes involved in the assessment, design and installation of improvements to a range of existing residential building types to enhance energy efficiency. 

The immersive virtual scenarios within the program give the learner the skills to perform all the necessary steps required in retrofitting a building in a simulated real-life environment.

Learning outcomes

By completing this program, it is expected that learners will:

  • Have a greater understanding of Retrofit principles and concepts
  • Have increased confidence when working with Retrofit equipment
  • Develop a systematic approach to assessing a property and locating existing defects
  • Have the ability to identify where modifications and improvements can be made
  • Demonstrate capability in designing the specifications and features of a retrofit
  • Have a greater understanding of how to perform a retrofit installation in a property
  • Demonstrate knowledge of how to conduct a Retrofit Assessment and complete an Energy Performance Report
