Our electrical engineering program is developed in line with Level 3 qualifications and allows learners to gain knowledge and confidence safely and quickly.

The aim of the program is to provide underpinning knowledge on certain subjects, a chance to carry out tasks relating to specific scenarios that they might find themselves in and to instil and re-enforce best practice processes that need to be done every time e.g. PPE, safe checks that need to be made.

The program is supported by many colleges and institutions.

Who is it for?

Training providers that deliver Level 3 courses which cover the basics of electrical engineering and learners could range from student to apprentices starting their career in the electrical industry.

Learning Modules:

  • Health & Safety
  • The Principles of Environmental Technology Systems
  • Overseeing & Organising the Work Environment
  • Preparation & Installation of Wiring Systems & Equipment
  • Planning & Selection for the Installation of Equipment & Systems
  • Termination & Connection of Conductors, Cables & Cords in Electrical Systems
  • Inspection, Testing, Commissioning & Certification
  • Diagnosing & Correcting Electrical Faults in Systems & Equipment
  • Principles of Electrical Science

Electrical Points Visual Inspection
Faulty Immersion Heater

The program contains two virtual environment scenarios where the user has to undertake a visual inspection of the house and fix a faulty immersion heater.

Your role is to carry out these tasks by inspecting different areas of the house then using various pieces of equipment to test sockets and appliances to determine any unsafe situations or faults. In the case of the immersion heater you must diagnose and repair the problem.
