Building skills through realistic Defence scenarios

Every immersive program is designed to place learners in situations that reflect real-world challenges and responsibilities. Rather than simply reading about processes or procedures, learners actively engage in tasks, answer questions, and apply their knowledge in realistic environments.

The current Defence library includes Cyber Security scenarios covering phishing detection, social engineering and incident response, alongside Advanced Manufacturing programmes exploring robotics, CNC operations, smart factory environments and condition monitoring. Engineering and fabrication content includes welding processes, inspection and testing, while health and safety modules focus on areas such as manual handling, working at height and plant safety.

Each program includes supporting resources for educators and opportunities for learners to revisit scenarios, helping reinforce knowledge and build confidence over time. The result is a learning experience that feels practical, relevant and closely aligned to the skills employers are looking for.

Metaverse Learning’s optional Defence Employability Hub provides a browser-based immersive environment where learners can explore Defence career pathways, engage with employers and access sector-specific information at any time.
