On May 20, our CEO, Jason Holt CBE, was joined by Dr. Majid Al-Kader CBE, the CEO of our sister company mXreality, to present to the UK Government’s Parliamentary Science, Innovation, and Technology Committee, chaired by Dame Chi Onwurah MP. Drawing on our experience as a leading innovator in immersive technology for the education sector, they shared our joint vision for CareerVerse, a revolutionary new platform for career information and guidance. This platform is poised to transform the way young people access career information and make informed decisions about their futures.
The session highlighted a critical issue that today’s students and those seeking employment must address: professional information is often fragmented, skewed, and unclear, making it difficult to make an informed choice. By developing a thorough, centralised platform that acts as a trustworthy and secure resource for career research, CareerVerse seeks to address this issue.
The innovative platform aims to bridge the notable divide that exists between various players in the career development ecosystem. CareerVerse will enable integrated access to essential information about credentials, skill development, career routes, and open positions by bringing together businesses, parents, students, and training providers.
Both companies bring substantial experience in immersive technology applications within the education sector. This expertise positions them uniquely to create an engaging, interactive platform that goes beyond traditional career guidance methods. The use of immersive technology could potentially allow users to experience different career environments virtually, providing unprecedented insight into various professions.
The presentation received significant support from Emily Darlington, MP, who expressed her endorsement of the CareerVerse vision during the Committee meeting. The Member of Parliament for Milton Keynes Central referenced her previous visit to the companies’ offices in Milton Keynes, where she experienced immersive learning environments firsthand. Her endorsement emphasises the potential benefits of using technology to improve career guidance.
The support from a Parliamentary committee member highlights the government’s recognition of the need for innovative solutions in career guidance and education technology.
As CareerVerse moves from concept to reality, the platform creators are actively seeking partnerships with employers and training providers. These collaborations will be crucial for ensuring the platform provides comprehensive, up-to-date information about career opportunities and the required qualifications across various industries.
Organisations interested in partnering with this transformative platform are encouraged to connect with us to discover how their participation can support both their recruitment goals and the career advancement of young individuals.
CareerVerse represents a significant step forward in addressing the challenges facing career guidance in the digital age. By combining cutting-edge immersive technology with comprehensive career information.
The presentation to the Parliamentary Committee is a significant milestone in the platform’s development, showcasing both industry innovation and government acknowledgement of the need for modern career guidance solutions.

Helping learners understand where their studies can take them is one of the most important roles colleges and universities play. Yet careers guidance can still feel abstract for many students. Job titles, course pathways and labour market information are useful, but they do not always help learners picture what a career actually looks like in practice. This challenge was the focus of a recent AmplifyFE webinar exploring how immersive environments can transform the way careers information is delivered across Further and Higher Education.
